Inside you’ll find a full kitchen and bath, plus a cozy living and dining area designed for an easy, relaxing stay. Upstairs, the romantic loft bedroom offers lake views from the king bed, complete with ambiance lights and a catwalk leading to the window—perfect for slow mornings, sunset watching, and keeping an eye out for bald eagles. Bring your fishing pole, and don’t miss the NATURAL OUTDOOR COLD PLUNGE POOL on-site. No extra cleaning fees!!
Walk down to the lake bluff and watch the sunset, explore the trails around the property, or linger on the private covered porch with coffee while you scan the water for wildlife. The large private fire pit area is ideal for stargazing and soaking in the sunset through the trees. Trails lead to Lake Palestine, which has a natural shoreline (no beach area). Swimming and fishing are at your own risk. There are also a couple of natural ponds on the property and an outdoor artesian cold plunge for a refreshing 70-degree soak (seasonally). Guests are welcome to explore the pond area and use the outdoor plunge, but please do not fish from the ponds at this time as we are still developing this area.

Our cabins are built for outdoor explorers—this isn’t the best place for indoor movie watchers 🙂 Internet availability is limited, and cable TV and ground internet are not available here in the woods. Limited WiFi is available and provided by Verizon Jetpack. Come to unplug and enjoy the romance, nature, and beautiful outdoors—this is not the best spot for TV and streaming.
We live nearby and you may see us walking, gardening, or landscaping, but we respect your privacy and are only available if you need us. Each cabin has its own private areas, though you may see other guests out walking and exploring.

This cottage is set in remote, dense woods—secluded, yet convenient. Tyler is about 15 minutes away with attractions, shopping, and restaurants for a fun weekend getaway. Brookshire grocery store is a 5 minute drive (about 2 miles) with everything you need for a romantic dinner or quick breakfast. Whataburger is a 5 min drive! The Villages Lake Marina and Chandler River Park are both within 10 minutes for boats or kayaking, and there are great fishing spots close by.

Parking is right at the cabin, and the roads are gravel. Good option for boat or trailer parking!
Please note: the cabin has a small hot water heater due to size limitations.
Important notes:
The property is a natural wildlife habitat and we keep it as native as possible. Expect natural elements like thorns, poison ivy, insects, and wildlife such as snakes, deer, foxes, rabbits, etc. Please don’t leave food out and watch children at all times. Chiggers can be out in tall grassy areas from May–July—bug repellent is recommended.

Owner has severe skin allergies and does all cleaning and laundry. We have a strict no pet policy and CANNOT accommodate animals of any kind—please do not ask for exceptions.
