Voted #1 Airbnb in the Tyler area (2018), Little Reata is a custom-built cabin tucked away on our East Texas farm, overlooking beautiful Lake Palestine. Built with reclaimed wood and thoughtful details, the cabin blends cozy farm charm with compact luxury—perfect for unplugging and reconnecting.
Inspired by the classic film Giant, starring Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor, and James Dean, Little Reata offers a peaceful retreat with a full kitchen, private fire pit, and access to a shared outdoor hot tub. A couch converts to a full bed with extra linens provided.
This cabin is ideal for romantic getaways and best suited for two adults, though it can accommodate a small family. Please note: due to severe owner allergies and hands-on cleaning, we have a strict no-pet policy with no exceptions.
There is no cable TV and limited jet-pack Wi-Fi—this is not a streaming destination. Guests come here to enjoy nature, fresh air, and quiet moments outdoors.
Property Features (shared among 5 cabins):

Two natural ponds (no fishing at this time)

Small fishing boat available to rent

Swimming and fishing are at your own risk. The property is natural and wooded—expect bugs, wildlife, and uneven terrain.
Location
Located near Lake Palestine (25,000 acres, 121 miles of shoreline), about 20 minutes from Tyler with shopping, dining, wineries, parks, and attractions nearby. A Brookshire’s grocery store is about 1 mile away. You may occasionally hear the nearby lift station.
We live on the property and are usually around if needed. Guests are welcome to explore the land and lake trails while respecting shared spaces and designated driveways.
Come sit on the porch, soak in the hot tub, build a campfire, and enjoy the stars. This is a place to slow down, unplug, and experience East Texas nature.
